Vivo Y12 is very identical to Vivo Y15 which is priced slightly higher. The main differences are, Vivo Y12 comes with 3 GB RAM and Y15 has a 4 GB RAM. This one has an 8 MP front camera and the other one has 16 MP. Everything else remains more or less the same.
The main benefit of Vivo Y12 is that it comes with a massive 5000 mAh battery. It should ensure over two days of backup with one single charge for average users. The phone looks quite stylish with its unique kind of gradient design. The backside is made of plastic, but it has some glossy finish. The triple rear camera setup on the back looks premium and there is also a fingerprint sensor. The display is a big 6.35 inches one with minimum bezel and waterdrop notch.
The device should run smoothly when executing everyday tasks. Games like PUBG should be well playable without any lag feeling. But you may experience frame drops in higher settings and also when playing too long without any brake because of the Helio P22 chipset and 3 GB RAM. Funtouch OS 9 is a fairly optimized UI.
The back camera is reasonably impressive. It also has a 16 mm ultrawide lens for capturing a broader perspective. 8 MP front camera is decent for the price but nothing over the top. The gadget comes with 64 GB ROM and up to 256 GB expandable memory via MicroSD card that can be placed in a dedicated slot. There are two other slots in the SIM tray for placing two SIM cards.
